O, Why Doth Thee Pervade Us (September 10, 2024) (Grade 5, Language Arts)

O, why doth thee pervade us,

Terrible thunderstorm,

Flooding highways, thou must,

Not attack in this form.

The roads are all slipp’ry,

There’s lightning in the house,

To make sure you will leave me,

I’ll even eat a mouse.

So leave us, you typhoon,

You angry raining monster,

Please, do leave us soon,

And far from us, do wander.
